Whether you’re looking for a cozy hat to keep you warm, a headband to match your daughter’s favorite jacket, or a housewarming gift for a friend, Keep’em in Stitches has a special handmade item for each occasion. Our business was founded in January 2014 by Jean Risser, an avid knitter and crafter. After just a few months, Jean recruited Deb Healey to help with custom sewing and before we knew it, Keep’em in Stitches was making gift baskets for housewarming parties, baby showers and everything in between. We offer quality handmade items at reasonable prices and we are happy to customize your order!
WHY BUY HANDMADE?
Every handmade item has a story. Factory made clothing and accessories are a dime a dozen, but when you buy something handmade it’s a guarantee your product is unique. At Keep’em in Stitches, we make each scarf, apron, and headband one at a time – making sure our yarn and fabrics are the best quality and ensuring our products will pass the test of time.
Handmade products are not just special because they’re “one of a kind” – when you purchase something handmade you are supporting a local craftsman, an artist, a seamstress… the list goes on. When you support a small business or shop at a local boutique you have a direct impact on the local economy which helps keep our communities strong. In fact, did you know it’s estimated that each dollar spent at an independent business returns 3 times more money to the local economy than $3 spent at a chain store? It’s our hope that when you “shop small” and purchase something from Keep’em in Stitches, you will be inspired by our story and make a conscience decision to support other local makers.
